Fernando Rem�rez spares no expense in making one of the Rioja region's -- and Spain's -- richest and most individual wines from old estate vines. Methods at this estate highlight all new barrels, a high percentage of French oak, and bottling without filtration. All wines are estate grown from four parcels, the oldest of which with vines planted almost a century ago. Quality is high, in difficult and ideal vintages alike. The Fincas de Ganuza Reserva, the estate's second wine, is also a fine choice.
