Master of Malt 40 years old Speyside Single Malt Whisky Tasting note

By Miguel in Tasting , Master of Malt

“I don't get much sherry on the nose but the rest of it is a real monster beautifully aged in a sherry cask. Increible value whisky bottled by Master of Malt.”

Master of Malt 40 year Speyside
Whiskies of this age are incredibly rare, particularly those that display such deft balance and poise, this bottling is from a well-known Speyside distillery

This dram has a cooper-like color.

Nose (92): strong. flowers, honey, pineapple, pears, vanilla. Really sweet music in this whisky. Gorgeous.

Palate (92): smooth, powerful, oily. candies, nuts, leather, wood, vanilla, tobacco, fruity, citrus.

Finish (91): long. honey, floral, nuts.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this Master of Malt 40 year Speyside with 92 points over 100.
