By Miguel in Tasting , Bruichladdich

“I don't like the combination of the sweet sherries and the peat. It doesn't work well.”

Bruichladdich 17 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Sherry
A Bruichladdich from the 1992 vintage, aged in bourbon casks before finishing in casks that previously held sweet, sticky Pedro Ximinez sherry.

This dram has a tawny-like color.

Nose (91): powerful. sweet, peat, honey, fruits, a littlechocolate.

Palate (86): smooth, oily, powerful. fruits, peat, malt, iodine, cocoa, wood.

Finish (86): long. raisins, cocoa, peat.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this Bruichladdich 17 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Sherry with 88 points over 100.
