This is the second release of Bruichladdich's Octomore, the world's most heavily-peated whisky at 140ppm. This year's edition comes in at 62.5% and promises to be another treat for brave peat-freaks.

Launched after the collectors sought Octomore 01.1

Definitively a must try. for any peat head. By the way, Ardbeg also has their own peat monster: Ardbeg Supernova

This dram has a white-like color.

Nose (92): inexistent. peat, medicinal, marine, iodine, citrus, a little floral. First nosing data is innacurate as the previous tasting sheet lacked of this field.

Palate (96): . sweet, hot, peat, peat, marine, a little red fruits, cocoa. Bouquet data is innacurate as the previous tasting sheet lacked of this field.

Finish (92): no finish. peat, peat, iodine. Finish length is innacurate as the previous tasting sheet lacked of this field.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this Octomore Edition 02.1 with 93 points over 100.
