“Very kind Imperial whisky with a good amount of spices.”

Imperial 13 year 1997 NC2
Distilled in 1997, this 13 year old Imperial was bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2010 for their range of non chillfiltered, non caramel coloured single malts (NC2).

This single malt whisky from this Speyside distillery is quite interesting with a good amount of spices on nose. Interesting option.

This dram has a white wine-like color.

Nose (88): more than average. honey, floral, vanilla, citrus, wood.

Palate (89): smooth, powerful, oily. honey, spices, wood, vanilla, pepper, floral, citrus.

Finish (88): longer than average. honey, spices, pepper, cinnamon.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this Imperial 13 year 1997 NC2 with 88 points over 100.
